Minister Blade Nzimande has officially launched South Africa's National Artificial Intelligence Strategy, a comprehensive roadmap designed to harness the transformative power of AI for national development.
The strategy outlines key priorities including AI research and development, skills training, ethical AI governance, and industry partnerships.
Strategic Pillars
The National AI Strategy is built on four key pillars:
- Building AI research and development capacity
- Developing AI talent and skills
- Creating an enabling policy and regulatory environment
- Fostering public-private partnerships
